The Union Public Service Commission is the conducting authority for the recruitment in civil services. It conducts the IAS exam every year in the three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Interview. The candidates need to appear in the Preliminary exam first. After passing through this prelim only, he will get eligible for the Main Exam.

UPSC IAS Prelims Result 2018

Right now, the UPSC Prelims is going to conduct on 3rd June 2018. They are going to be many candidates who will appear in the exam. All these applicants will wait for the UPSC prelims 2018 result. After the declaration of IAS prelims result 2018, the candidates who appear in the examination will be able to check the result online. As the examination will be held in the first week of June 2018, the authorities will release the UPSC pre result 2018 either in the month of July 2018 or August 2018. UPSC prelims 2018 resultwill announce on the basis of cut off marks. The candidates who will qualify the prelim exam must have attained the IAS prelim cut off marks 2018 in order to appear for the main exam. The candidate who will get the marks equal to cut off marks or more than the cut off marks will qualify for the main exam.

The qualified applicants will go for the next round of selection. Now, they will appear for the UPSC Main Exam 2018. The IAS main exam 2018 will be conducted in the month of October 2018. Thus, the qualified students IAS prelims result 2018will be eligible for downloading the UPSC IAS Main Exam Admit Card 2018. TheUPSC mains resultwill get announce in the month of January 2019.

After that, in the main exam too, they have to get pass in it in order to get qualified for the interview round. The final IAS 2018 Result will be published after the completion of interview round. UPSC IAS 2017 Statistics

In 2017, in the preliminary examination 14,717 candidates were qualified for the IAS main exam 2017. The total number of candidates qualified for the civil services in 2017 was 13,365 and 1352 for Indian Forest Service.

In the year 2017, AnudeepDurishetty from Hyderabad topped the exam. It was followed by AnuKumari for second position and Sachin Gupta for the Third position. The top 25 candidates of UPSC result 2017 include 17 men and 8 women. The educational qualification of these selected candidates was from Mathematics; Engineering; Anthropology; Sciences; Law; Management; Medical and Commerce from the different universities and institutions of the country.
