IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern 2018
The IBPS PO preliminary examination is organized online and contenders are allocated total duration of 1 hour to finish the preliminary exam. It contains3 sections, which have total 100 questions and the maximum score of 100 marks. There is also negative marking of 0.25 marks as a penalty against every wrong answer. IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2019
IBPS PO Mains Exam has undergone several changes. Below we are discussing those changes in detail:
Introduction of Descriptive Paper: Similar to SBI PO 2018 Exam, IBPS presented Descriptive Paper in its Mains Examination where applicants will be judged on the basis of their written skills. Candidates are required to write an essay and letter which comprise 25 marks and have to be completed in 30 minutes.
• The overall time given for each segment has also been changed.
• No separate paper will be organized for Computer Applications. Reasoning is now merged up with Computer Aptitude segment and this whole section will comprise 45 questions of a total of 60 marks.
• The overall time given for IBPS PO 2018 Mains Exam has also been altered from 140 minutes to 180 minutes.

IBPS PO 2018 Interview Process
Candidates who clear the Mains Exam are ultimately called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The IBPS PO Interview Process will comprise of 100 marks and the least marks for clearing this round will be 40% which is diminished to 35% for applicants belonging to ST/SC/OBC/PWD categories.
Penalty for Wrong Answers:
0.25 marks will be deducted for each question wrong question attempted by a candidate in both IBPS PO 2018 Preliminary Examination& IBPS PO 2018 Mains Examination. There will be no deduction of numbers for a question left blank/left unattempted by a candidate.
The final selection of the applicant to the post of Probationary Officer will be done by taking into consideration the collective score of Mains Exam and the Interview Process. The marks obtained in these phases of examination will be considered in the ratio 80:20 correspondingly. A merit list will be created after the Interview Procedure of IBPS PO 2018 Exam has been organized. Applicants who make it to the list will be thereforepresented the joining letter by the Bank of their preference.
